Market Vendor Essentials

Hi there, Jamila here with a new blog to help you prepare for vending at a market. Here is a list of stuff to pack that I wished I had when I participated in my first market. These are simple things that one might forget to pack or overlook while preparing for a market. Some listed items are seasonal. Most of these items can be found at Daiso. Happy Vending!

Table Basics

  • Tablecloth
  • A banner or sign with your business’s name (some markets might provide this)
  • Pencil Case: pens, markers, tape, mini memo pads
  • Push pins and safety pins (just in case, you never know if you may need these)
  • Scissors (It's better to have them than to be without)
  • Calculator
  • Sign with bank account info for bank transfers
  • Social Media QR codes (for instant finds and follows)
  • Your language to Korean translated signs
  • Small bills for change (50,000 ~ 100,000 in cheon wons)
  • A cushion (some chairs are uncomfortable)
  • Business cards (not only for customers but to network with other vendors)

Personal Items

  • Portable battery
  • Snacks
  • Sunscreen
  • Reusable bottle, cup and utensils
  • Tissue and wet tissue (or a towel)
  • Deodorant (Summer)
